Front Cover

In this new version the front cover of my magazine I have edited the Title Block because the previous one did not seem very outstanding and also it appeared too feminine. Since I want my magazine to attract both genders I decided to go for something more bulky and big. The Stencil font represents the urban environment, streets with graffiti, youth and modern music like R&B which is the genre of music that my magazine is based upon.  The colours of this title block also represent the colour scheme of my magazine.

Editing My Photographs

I have experienced with different affects with the adobe Photoshop.  Here particularly I am using blur effect to create these photographs. First I would overlay an image with the exactly same photograph. Then I would add the blur effect to the top layer. To keep the most important parts of the picture in focus, e.g. the face, I would use the rubber tool to remove the blur from the top layer so that the focused image beneath can show.

Inspiration: Sam Hessamian

Sam Hessamian is a Photographer who is famous for his exceptional ability to capture prevailing emotions in his astonishing black and white photographs. I observed his photography and I have noticed a consistent style that in my opinion is a key to the powerful effect that is conceive within the photograph. He takes close up shots and he enhances the brightness and the contrast to such an extent that the black and white appear to accentuate one another. This adds a striking effect to the photograph and helps to highlight the emotion exposed on the models face. Here are some examples of his photographs...

His style inspired me when i was taking my own photographs and i tried to mimic his techniques to create photographs that are strong and powerful.
